Death by the light of day is awash with benefits. It can be difficult to choose a loadout when you have 86 different perks to go through. And while there are a lot of amazing benefits in Death by the light of day, there are also options which are simply the worst for all situations. We decided to sift through the trash so you don’t have to. Here are the worst benefits of Death by the light of day!
Death by the light of day should nerf No Mither so that when someone uses it and gets hit, it dies instantly. The benefit is a meme and has no value. No Mither is among the worst Death by the light of day perks for deliberately leaving your survivor in an injured state throughout the game. Completely recovering from a dying state doesn’t make No Mither viable, no matter how YouTubers like Ussylis seem to spin it. Please do not use it.
Tenacity would be helpful if that was an IRL advantage for newborns crawling and bumping into things. Outside of real life, Tenacity is horrible unless it comes with perks like Unbreakable or Flip Flop. Tenacity is 100% among the worst advantages of Death by the light of day, and there is no argument.
The Scratch Marks benefits are as they are, but Poised takes the cake. The idea behind Poised is that you won’t leave scratch marks after completing a generator. Once you’ve completed a generator, it’ll alert the difficult area killer anyway, so there’s a good chance they’ll find you. Poised is a waste of an advantage slot and you better use something else.
The difference between extending the reading range of the aura by a few meters is barely noticeable. Your team won’t be happy that you lost an advantage over Open-Handed.
Up The Ante
Another shocking advantage of the Ace Visconti …
What is luck in Death by the light of day even do it anyway? Increasing your luck by a single digit amount will not get you out of this.
Quentin Smith’s Unique Benefits for Survivors
That’s right, all of Quentin Smith’s unique perks are on the Worst Perks list. Death by the light of day. Wake Up lets you see Exit Gates assuming you even manage to do so (if you use this perk you probably won’t). I wouldn’t be so hard on Wake Up if it showed Escape Hatch, but it doesn’t. Its second unique perk, the Pharmacy, allows you to find first aid kits in chests. Fine, except rummaging through the vaults is a waste of time for the most part.
Finally, Vigil allows players to recover from painfully specific crippling conditions a bit faster as long as they have the advantage, or have been within range of someone doing so in the last 15 seconds. This advantage is that players stay close to each other, but getting together is not the best way to work as a team Death by the light of day. It’s too easy to laugh at Quentin Smith for sucking when he’s already getting drenched with these perks.
There are 86 advantages in Dead by the light of day, many of which are hopelessly specific or counterintuitive, and these eight are just the tip of the iceberg. If you are convinced by another bad advantage, leave a comment!
