Are you used to strolling on Instagram, to follow your favorite friends and influencers, or to find inspiration?

When content appeals to you, such as a photo, image or video, know that it can be downloaded directly to your smartphone. It is even easier than you might imagine.

There are two ways to do this from any account and right in your Camera Roll on your phone.

Download photos to your smartphone

To export content via Instagram, it must then come from public accounts, which is accessible to everyone.

Otherwise, only followers accepted by the profile owner can see the posts and therefore theoretically also save them.

Screenshots

The fastest and easiest way to save Instagram content is to take a screenshot.

On an iPhone, all you need to do is press the volume button and the power button at the same time for models after iPhone X, and the home button for others. Also you can do this by opening the Control center and by touching the option Capture.

On Android too, simultaneously press the Volume button and the Power button. Some Android models even offer advanced screenshot features. Most current devices also have a native screen recorder, which you can access through quick settings by swiping your screen down.

Unlike Snapchat, Instagram users cannot see a screenshot has been taken, except if it is taken in a private conversation.

Save content directly to Instagram

Ease is not always the best solution. Indeed, the screenshots or recordings, do not give a poor quality rendering. To download high-resolution quality content, you need to do the following:

  • On Instagram, copy the URL of the photo or video you want by tapping the three dots in the top corner, and then selecting Copy link.
  • Then go to the page Save-insta.
  • Enter the URL of the image in the search field.
  • Go to View.
  • Then press Download Image.

You can also download videos through this procedure. However, the URL must be copied from your web browser, before being entered on Save Insta.

Prevent someone from downloading your Instagram photos

The idea that strangers can save your personal photos so easily can be scary.

Unfortunately, as a user, there is no way to block your content other than to set your account Private from your privacy settings. This way, only your relatives, friends, or accounts that you have previously accepted will have access to your posts.

Here are the steps to follow:

  • Go to your Instagram profile
  • Tap on the menu icon in the upper right corner.
  • Go to settings
  • Tap on Privacy
  • Activate “Private account”.

Keep in mind that all of your already subscribed followers will be able to view and download your profile photos.
