Getting tagged in a post is probably not a good idea, mainly because it’s more likely that all of our friends will see it before we do. This is why the ideal is Approve manually the publications of Facebook Where am I labeled.
Right now, it’s okay to upload everything we do as photos to social media stories and various posts. Imagine that we are tagged on a photo that we do not like at all, the problem is that it will automatically appear on our profile, it is quite possible that all our friends will see it first and then us.
That is why it is better to have the organic review and labeling activated. This way we can approve what will appear on our profile.
Configure to manually approve posts I’m tagged with
The first thing we are going to have to do is configure the option that allows us to see which posts or photos we are tagged in and decide if we really want them to appear on our profile. This way, whenever we are tagged, it will not automatically appear on our profile.
Enable tag checking from the web
For that, we are going to have to go to the Facebook site, then click on the arrow pointing down in the upper right corner of the screen.
A new menu will appear where we will have to select Settings and Privacy, then in the submenu we click on “Settings”.
In the left sidebar we will have to click on “Profile and Labeling”.
In the “Review” section on the right side of the screen, we will need to enable “Review posts where it is tagged before the post appears on your profile?” we just click to edit and activate it.
Another option we can enable is “Check what tags people add to your posts before they appear on Facebook.” For more control over posts.
Enable tag checking from a mobile device
From mobile it’s a little different, but it’s still a quick and easy process. We open the Facebook application and we will click on the three horizontal lines which are at the top right in the case of Android, at the bottom in the case of the iPhone.
Here we will have to go to “Settings and Privacy” and then to “Settings”.
We go to the “Audience and visibility” section and we will have to click on the “Profile and labeling” category.
Here we will need to enable the options “Review the posts you’re tagged in before the post appears on your profile?”, And “Review the tags people add to their posts before the tags appear on Facebook. ”.
Whenever someone tags us in a post, photograph or video, we receive a notification. When we open this notification, we will have the option to approve it to appear in our profile or to hide the tag. When we approve it, it will be immediately visible on our profile.
Obviously, that doesn’t prevent us from being tagged on Facebook. However, we can control what we want to appear on our profile.
In case you want to see all the pending posts. We’re just going to have to go to the downward pointing arrow in the upper right corner, Settings and Privacy then “Activity Log” here we are going to click on “Review of bio, photos and tags“.
If you want to do it from your mobile, just open the app and click on the three lines in the top right corner. Next, we click on our name to go to the profile and click on the three ellipses. A new page will appear where we will have to choose “Review publications and labels”.
As you can see, manually approving the posts we have been tagged in is extremely easy both from the computer and from a mobile device.
