The WhatsApp instant messaging application is also available in a desktop version for computers and Laptops (Windows or linux), suddenly and like on smartphones, you can make and receive calls directly on the computer in addition to the messages exchanged via the platform.
But in order for it to work, you need at least a few tweaks depending on the method used to make the app on PC use the same number configured on your phone’s WhatsApp app.
1. Using the WhatsApp desktop version for Windows PCs
The WhatsApp application is also available in a Desktop version but only for computers and Windows PCs, and in this case, it is quite possible to use it as on a mobile phone with all its features except video calls .
So just follow these few steps and apply them on your Windows computer:
Step 1 : First of all, download and install WhatsApp on your computer.
2nd step : Once installed, open the WhatsApp app and you will see an explanatory screen like below.
Step 3: Also open the WhatsApp app on your phone, then tap Menu> WhatsApp Web.
Step 4: Scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
That’s it, you can make and receive calls directly on your computer as well as texts.
2. Using the web version of WhatsApp
It is also possible to access WhatsApp and its functionalities by simply visiting its web version from a web browser such as Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox. This allows you to make and receive calls directly on your desktop PC. To do this, follow the steps below:
Step 1 : First, open a web browser on your computer and open web.whatsapp.com
2nd step : A QR code is displayed on the home page of the WhatsApp site with instructions at the bottom of the page for configuration according to the type of your smartphone: Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, Blackberry… etc.
Step 3: Then open the WhatsApp application on your mobile and scan the QR code on the PC.
Step 4: Now the whole interface of WhatsApp will be displayed in your browser.
