How to know the word count in Word and PowerPoint

Its very important to know the amount of words that we wear Word Yes power point. In many occasions, we have to deliver work in which we have to comply with a minimum of words or we are limited to a specific number of words. It is precisely at this point that we need to be clear on how to see word count in Word and PowerPoint.

Almost all word processing tools have a function to count the number of words we have written. Microsoft Word has it and in the case of PowerPoint we also find an option to know the number of words we have.

In the case of Word, this is extremely simple as it allows us to see the word count from the same status bar. Just below on the left, we can see all the words in a document.

If you want to see the number of words in a particular paragraph, you will just have to select the paragraph in question (you can double click on it) and in the lower left part of Word where the total number of words is, it will change quickly to “80 words out of 500”, for example.

In this simple way, we can know the number of words we have in a Word document, both in a specific area, like a paragraph or in general.

In the case of Microsoft PowerPoint, we can’t see by default the number of words we have in the status bar like we do in the case of Word. The only thing we will be able to see in this bar is the number of slides.

To see the number of words in PowerPoint, click on “File”. After that we will look for the “Information” option and click on the “Show all properties” option which is in the lower right corner of the screen.

Here we can see a large amount of information about the document in question, among so much information we will be able to find “words” which would be the number of words in the file we are working with.
