Several times put on, put down borders to images in Microsoft Word it’s very useful. Especially when we have pictures or photos with a white background and we don’t want them to “get lost” in the text.
Fortunately, we don’t need to edit the image before adding it to Word. The Microsoft suite has an extremely useful tool for adding and editing images. Mostly, things are simple enough that we can put borders to images in Microsoft Word and it is much easier than you might imagine.

To add a border around an image, we’ll first open Word and add the image in question. Then we will have to click on this image. When we do, the “Aspect Ratio” tab will appear.
In the “Picture format” tab, we will have to click on “Picture styles”. If we click on the arrow that points down, we can expand the gallery of styles.
Now we can choose any type of frame we like. We just click on this frame and it is automatically applied to the image.
But what really interests us is putting borders on images in Microsoft Word. For that, we will have to click on the image then on the “Image styles” group in the “Image format” tab and click on “Image border“.
Here a drop-down menu appears where we can select several different colors to apply to a frame. You can also choose the thickness of the border and the line style it will have, these options are a little lower in this same window.
In case you want to remove the border that surrounds an image, we click on said photo, then we will go to the “Aspect Ratio” tab and we will go to “Adjust”, then we will select “Reset Image” .
In this simple way, we will eliminate the borders that we apply to the image. So, as you can see, putting borders to images in Microsoft Word is extremely fast and in many cases it can be very convenient.
