How to Clear Cache on Amazon Fire TV

If you’re having issues with your Amazon Fire TV apps, clearing the cache may be a solution. We’ll walk you through the process of deleting temporary files on your Fire TV device.

What is cache on Amazon Fire TV devices?

Cache is a collection of temporary files that your installed applications create during normal operation. These cache files efficiently provide your applications with the data they need. However, sometimes these cache files get corrupted and as a result your apps suffer from various issues.

Flushing the cache resolves these issues. It doesn’t delete your app or the data you saved on it, so don’t worry about losing any functionality. Be aware, however, that on your Amazon Fire TV device, you cannot clear cache as per application; there is no way to clear the entire cache of the device at once.
