How to change your home screen wallpaper on Android

Here’s how to change your home wallpaper on Android, including stock Samsung and Android phones.

Want to add a personal touch to your Android device? The first place to start is your wallpaper.

If you’ve ever changed your lock wallpaper, you might be wondering how to customize your home screen wallpaper as well. Here we show you the different ways to change your home screen wallpaper no matter what type of Android phone you have.

You can change your home screen wallpaper on Samsung device with a few simple steps. To get started, follow these instructions:

  1. Unlock your phone.
  2. Long press an empty space on the home screen.
  3. Click on the ” Wallpaper ».

From here you can decide if you want to use a downloaded wallpaper or if you want to use a photo from your gallery. To use one of your own photos as a wallpaper for your phone, click Gallery.

Otherwise you can select My wallpapers to use a default wallpaper. You will see the Samsung wallpapers in stock under the tab Featured. The tab Downloaded displays wallpapers that you have downloaded from third-party wallpaper apps, as well as from the Galaxy Themes store.

When you choose a wallpaper, tap it and a menu titled ” Set as wallpaper » will appear on your screen. Select Screenhome to use the image as wallpaper only (you can choose one of the other options if you want it to appear on your lock screen as well).

You can also customize your home screen from within the app Parameters your Samsung device. You can easily do this by following the following steps:

  1. Open the app Settings.
  2. Select Wallpaper.

You will then be taken to the same wallpaper selection menu that appears when using the above method. From there, just follow the same steps as outlined above.

How to change your home screen wallpaper on a device with stock Android

If you have a device that works with Android, it’s just as easy to change your home wallpaper. You just need to do the following:

  1. Unlock your device.
  2. Long press your home screen in an empty area.
  3. Select Wallpapers or Styles and Wallpapers in the context menu.

Your device will then present you with several different wallpaper options. In the file My pictures, you can use one of your own photos as wallpaper.

The categories Living universe and Live contain wonderful preloaded live wallpapers. You will see also a series of other files such as Landscape, Textures and Art, which contain curatorial images worth checking out.

When you have chosen a wallpaper, tap on it and you will have a preview of the wallpaper. If you like what you see, click Set wallpaper> Home screen. You will now be able to enjoy your new wallpaper image!

How To Change Your Home Screen Wallpaper In Stock Android Settings

You can also change your home screen wallpaper from the app Parameters d‘a device running Android. Fortunately, the procedure is as easy as on a Samsung phone:

  1. Go to your app Settings.
  2. Select Display> Wallpaper.

Then your device will present you with three options: Live Wallpapers, Pictures, and Styles and wallpapers. The option Styles & Wallpapers will take you to the same customization menu as described above.

In the meantime, the tabs Live Wallpapers and Pictures allow you to choose wallpapers directly from your phone’s pre-made wallpapers, as well as your gallery. As for setting your wallpaper, you can follow the same steps as for the other method.
