How to change email address on a Disney + account

In order to access all of the content that Disney + has to offer us, we need to have an account that we access via email and password. However, you may want to switch the email of Disney + for a whole new one. If you want to know how to do that, keep reading.

Changing the email address of a Disney + account is something we can do from the website or the mobile app.

Change the email address on a Disney + account from Windows and Mac

Log on to the Disney + website. Once logged in, we will have to position the mouse on “My Profile” in the upper right corner of the screen and a drop-down menu will appear, in which we click on “Account”.

Once we are in the “Account” menu, we will have to press the “Edit” button that is on the right side of the email that we currently have.

We click on Edit to edit the email in Disney +.

As a security measure, Disney + will send a 6-digit code to the email account we currently set up. This code expires after 15 minutes. So, don’t wait too long to get in. Once you’ve done that, just click “Continue”.

This will take us to the section to edit the email. In the box that says “New email”, we will obviously have to write the new email. For security reasons, we recommend that you check the “Log out of all devices” box. Then press “Save” for the changes to take effect.

The changes will be applied automatically. However, we’ll need to verify the new email by selecting the “Verify Account” link that appears at the top of the Disney + settings menu.

You will send us a new 6 digit code by mail which we have to copy and paste on the site. When we do, we just click “Continue” and that’s it.

Edit mobile device emails

From the same app we can edit the email without any problem. For this we will have to open the Disney + app and then touch our profile icon which is located in the lower right corner of the screen.

Then we will have to click on “Account” to continue.

To continue we must select "account".

Once we are in “Account” we will need to press the “Edit” button which is on the right side of the email we are currently using.

In this new section, we will be able to write the New email. We recommend that you check the “Disconnect from all devices” box for safety. When you’re done, click “Save” in the upper right corner of the screen.

After changing the email, we will need to click on “Verify Account” in the account settings menu. This is to check for new emails and improve account security.

He will send us a six-digit code again so that we can confirm the email and have our account activated and working without any issues with the new email.
