Scavengers unlike any other battle royale or shooter game you have played before. It combines PvP and PvE, while also emphasizing survival in the game. It’s a particularly fun mix, but it also means players will have to learn to move around and thrive in the game. This is why I have prepared some tips and key information for newbies. Scavengers players.

1. Mercy wins

Whenever you choose a shooting game, your instinctive thought is “kill or be killed”. While you might have to kill players every now and then, having the most wins won’t win you the game. Scavengers. In fact, you could die and your team could still win the game, as the victory goes to the team with the most data points, not eliminations.

Meeting other players and teams is inevitable, but if you spot an enemy you don’t necessarily need to kill. This could allow you to steal their data points, provided they don’t just upload them to an uplink station.

I prefer to avoid conflict at all, stick to eliminating Scourge growths, outposts, and grand objectives that appear late in the game. Above all, your goal should be to keep the planet alive.

2. Parkour!

Stamina is an important attribute and you should try to maintain it at all times. This means always having food on you and sliding around as much as you can. Gliding gives off as much distance as sprinting, so there’s really no need to waste your stamina. Also, sliding and crouching in general doesn’t make you appear on enemy radar and sprinting does, so it’s a win-win situation.

There is also no fall damage in Scavengers, so feel free to jump off the high cliffs if it allows you to gain seats faster.

3. Bring the doctor

Of course, having a team full of damage dealers is fun, but in this game the healers go to great lengths. You have access to a healer from the start: Halden. It is very easy to play like, by the way.

4. Keep warm

The cold is a big problem here. Near your HP bar, you have a thermometer, which shows you the status of your temperature. Never let your body temperature escape completely. Why? Well, the cold will bring your maximum health when it reaches the freezing state.

Whenever your character starts to get cold, look for sources of heat, such as torches and campfires. As soon as you can, add thermal boosters to your inventory, in case you get caught in the storm. This happens more often than you might think.

5. Know where to loot

Collecting data points is easy, but not when there are enemy players nearby. Lucky for you, there are a number of ways you can tell if an outpost is busy. If you are near you will know it right away, as there will be loud screams and the sound of gunfire coming from the outpost.

Second, you can still tell if an outpost is occupied if you see the number of data points on the map decreasing.

6. Shield strength

When you look at enemy players, you can see the value of their shields by the color of their shimmer, so you can tell if it’s a good idea to attack. The golden shields are the strongest, then you have the purples, the blues, and the weaker, the green shields.

I’d be tempted to stay and attack a green or blue shield, but I tend to keep my distance from the purples, unless my team is with me and we’re well prepared.

7. Use uplink stations with caution

If you have collected a good amount of data points, you may want to consider storing them in uplink stations. If you don’t, you risk losing half of your data points every time you die, and if you can’t make it to dropship on time, you’ll lose everything.

However, there is one major downside to using uplink stations – when you upload your data points, a beam of light propagates across the sky, alarming all other players in your location.

8. Know when to board the mining vessel

Don’t foolishly run towards the ship the second it arrives. It will stay in place for five full minutes. Instead, assess your situation. Do you have a low number of data points? Go out and collect more! Are you at the top of the data point ranking? Then choose a nice hiding place and wait for the right moment.

9. Claim your free chips

Scavengers gives every early access player the chance to claim 1,500 tokens, the in-game currency. All you have to do is go to the store and claim it. It might not sound like much, but it will allow you to buy a new explorer right away. You can also pick up a pack of 200 free chips every day.

I hope that Scavengers the tips helped you! Stick around for more Scavengers content!
