Oddly enough, there aren’t a lot of great Marvel games on mobile. Many are taken for money. Others are iterative of other properties. However, there are a few that are worth playing. Contest of Champions

Contest of Champions is one of the most popular Marvel games. It’s a character collection title. Your objective is to collect as many Marvel heroes as possible and use them to fight the bad guys. The game also features light fighting game mechanics, online multiplayer and a kind of campaign mode. It’s not too hard to learn like most freemium games and the tutorial is ridiculous. The combat mechanics are also decent, albeit a bit slow. The downside is that it’s a freemium title. This comes mainly from the gacha mechanics. A big part of the game is collecting characters, after all. Other than that, it plays us very well.

Puzzle Quest is one of the most popular games on Google Play. It also has a variety of variations, including games for Magic; The Gathering, Adventure Time, and of course Marvel. Puzzle Quest is a match-three game. You match different symbols in order to do things like combat damage. You can collect various characters, participate in online games and play all the different missions. The game also offers weekly, daily, and monthly events for additional loot. It’s a freemium game and it’s a bit simple. It should work well as a time killer, however.

Realm of Champions is the last Marvel game on the list. Players choose from a roster of champions, and as you might have guessed, your options are Marvel characters. Each champion is customizable for each player so you can personalize them and make them look whatever you want. The game is a bit like a MOBA. There are three-on-three battles in PvP with a few types of games to keep things fresh. It’s an online multiplayer game for the most part, so those looking for an offline game should look elsewhere. Otherwise, it’s decent.

Marvel Strike Force is one of the new Marvel games on the list. It features the same old gacha mechanics as most other Marvel games. You assemble a team of your favorite villains and heroes and then fight against the villains. The game also features mobile RPG mechanics, plenty to do, and some pretty decent graphics. Some have compared this game to Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. We agree with this assessment. The two are remarkably similar. Unfortunately, the freemium elements of it fluctuate from time to time. Sometimes they’re awful and sometimes they’re not. It depends on what FoxNext decides to do with a given update.
